Snipes' lawyers had spent much of the day in court offering dozens of letters from family members, friends _ even fellow actors Woody Harrelson and Denzel Washington _ attesting to the good character of the "Blade" star and asking for leniency. They argued he should get only probation because his three convictions were all misdemeanors and the actor had no previous criminal record.

You gotta pay ya tax fool and yes they can tax you. That was what it was about he got a bad case of stupid and thought you didnt have to pay for some weird reason.
lets not hear this"someone need to make an example of him" if that was the case, then why not the million previous cases of irs fraud have been used as "examples"
his lawyer will appeal it...and like any other celeb, i'm sure he'll get like 10 mins in jail in the end
Waaaaa I'm dyin to see another Blade movie! There are other people out there that do worse crimes that should be locked up!
