Starring Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and John C. McGinley, it appears the show will go on.
So if the rumors are true -- and when are they not true? -- you'll be doing charity work come fall, taking in the homeless sitcom "Scrubs," which has been rather unceremoniously untethered from its home of seven seasons, NBC. All the trades say the show is back at work, in anticipation of a full-season pickup.
If the deal is finalized, "Scrubs" will become one of the oldest shows in your prime-time lineup, the equivalent of a professional sports franchise signing a veteran player for one burst of energy that could help bring a championship home. Sure, it's not exactly in its prime, but, hey, neither is "ER," and NBC's had that show on life support for years now. (NBC, if you're reading this: Why one and not the other?)...." latimes.com

the show is still a good show, and i wouldn't say the sitcom is homeless, i been watching it on Comedy Central for the last two, maybe three years. the nice thing about the show is, it really isn't as repetative as this article makes it out to be. sure when you know what characters are involved, you can expect things to play a certain way, but you never know exactly whats going to happen next. thats a sitcom, thats how a sitcom works. the audience has to know the characters, and know what to expect, and they have to be entertained why how it happens. with an oldie called i love lucy, it was always known she was going to mess up any situation some how, but how she messed up the situation is what made the show worth watching. Scrubs is a Sitcom, not reality TV, and NBC dropping the show really isn't as huge a deal as the writer of this article makes it out to be.

I agree, goodtunes. I think a show shines when it can create strong, funny characters that the audience can grow to love over time. When you can encourage that type of bond, it almost doesn't matter what kinds of situations you put them in, because you know the audience is already invested in their welfare.
I only recently got into the show. I love watching it on syndication. I feel like shows are always already cancelled or on the verge of being cancelled when I start watching it on dvd or syndication. Maybe I'm cursed!
