wooooooooooooooooooo o hooooooooooooooooooo yessssssssssss dog is number 1 in my eyes welcome back
I guess maybe that's just a difference of opinion, but I think racism *does* make you a bad person. That's one of those defining features.
im all for second chances, but when youre in the eye of the public, you should be more careful than to use racial slurs
hmmm... "more worse"... didnt think that was a phrase, I KNOW its not proper English, now we see the kinds of people that like "dog"

You can't expect someone to be politically correct or perfect (public eye or not) and not expect yourself AND EVERYONE ELSE to follow suit. Those of us who have jobs that keep us in the public eye sometimes get the feeling of "what's the use?" when we set good examples that the public NEVER follows.

I fully believe he was given a bum rap given his past and it was wrong. Sure he looks the part of a criminal but only to pull off his bounty hunter series. being a bounty hunter is a very dangerous occupation and should be a respected form of law enforcement Duane Chapman exemplifies that aspect as well as tries to encourage people he goes after to change their lifes for the better
That's not a justification for him being publicly racist. You can't say, "We have all done things that make us 'bad people'," to make it alright that someone beats their spouse, right?
But it's more than that as well - if some random dips**t is racist, it's annoying and stupid but doesn't really matter to me all that much. But this guy is on TV, he has a public forum, and there are clearly people (even here) who like the guy. He *does* have a responsibility to watch what he does.
Being a celebrity isn't a right. Being on TV isn't a right. It *should* be a privilege - one that can be taken away when someone's found out to be racist, misogynist, blah blah blah. This guy makes millions a year off the privilege. There are undoubtedly dozens of other people who are just as entertaining and who never got a shot at the big time but *aren't* racist. Why not give them a chance instead?

no one is even talking about his past in here or in the news when this came out, I know all about "reform" and how you can make mistakes and still make a difference in the world, but when the difference you are making is saying to ppl who view your program that its ok to use racial slurs, then its SOOO NOT OK!!!
I don't really think that anyone is saying to people that this is ok at all..It's really hard to believe that this all stemmed from a PRIVATE argument with his son. It's amazing how so many people even can speculate on this PRIVATE FAMILY ARGUMENT. Think about it imagine you on one of your worse days and you are in a HEATED ARGUMENT WITH A LOVED ONE and your conversation was taped and aired for the whole world to judge you... Some say "Dog is in a public image and should be a role model" I agree, but the poop falls on the son and not Dog. At least the way I see it! Family problems should stay private and it was a shame that this got out, so I say Shame on Dogs son....
