So with his 'ailing brother' there, you can count on him garnering the 'sympathy' vote.

He dont need the sympathy vote! For one he kept his brother being ill with cancer hush, hush, the media brought it out, not him, hes talented he dont need people feeling sorry for him, if u were descent u would look at it like that would be awesome if he wins, so maybe he can get his brother the treatment he needs! I hope David Cook wins it, hes awesome!

Oh, I agre! I never doubted his talent or whether or not he deserves to win... I personally think both contestants are extremely talented and BOTH deserve to win! I'm just wondering why his brother was kept out of everything... EVERYTHING... until it's time for the final vote... it has nothing to do with my decency. You have to understand that everything... EVERYTHING in these contests is completely choreographed. Everything they sing, say and do is managed by a PR person at this stage of the game. And you said it yourself... "if u were descent u would look at it like that would be awesome if he wins, so maybe he can get his brother the treatment he needs!" And you can say that with two exceptionally talented guys in the running, NO ONE is going to vote for Mr. Cook so he can "get his brother the treatment he needs??"

His brother was there Mariah Carey week, he has been too ill to be there, why do u think Dave was so emotional when he got great feed back from all the judges, plus his brother being able to make it, his brother is so bad with his health, there were medical staff traveling with him. And me making that comment about getting his brother treatment was meant for when he makes it big, had nothing to do with the show or votes!

Im a huge fan of the show (as u can tell) his brother 1st came there when there was several people still in the running, the "AC" on Daves guitar is for his brother, no matter how ill anyone may be, im sure they would be there too, cheering on their family for making it as far as David did.

Well, the main thing is that a talented guy like David can win. I'm sure he AND his poor sick bro deserve every good thing this life can give them, especially after having to go through what they've had to endure. I wish them both all the best and will be cheering for BOTH of them, (and the other David), when the final is on. All 3 of them deserve to win!
