I agree, on the surface it's a good move for him, the problem is there are too many of these kind of one offs hanging around his neck not unlike the proverbial albatross after it was dispatched.
This whole episode proves to me what a neophyte he (and by derivation, his staff) is inside the larger political arena.
Normally I'd say an outsider would be a good thing; shake things up a bit and keep the inside the beltway crowd on their collective tootsies, but in this case, there appears to be far too many subject areas in which his lack of experience will make him an ineffective leader...
To add insult to that particular injury, the other two - Hilary Clinton Rodham Clinton (redundancy intended) and McCain are really not much better...
