SAN FRANCISCO - Phyllis Lyon and Del Martin fell in love at a time when lesbians risked being arrested, fired from their jobs and sent to electroshock treatment.
On Monday, more than a half-century after they became a couple, Lyon and Martin plan to become one of the first same-sex couples to legally exchange marriage vows in California.

I think it's great that finally, somewhere in this effed up world, people are allowed to love and be loved by whom ever they choose.

They deserve to be happy all the lesbians and gay men out there deserve for all they do especially the last story I read that they have helped adopt more kids in the country then most within the last 5 to 10 years thats pretty good.
