"Newly released CIA documents show that famed international chef Julia Child served as a spy during World War II, the Associated Press reports.

Child worked in an international spy ring called the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), created by President Franklin Roosevelt, according to previously sealed records released by the National Archives today.

Child was not yet married and applied for the job under her maiden name, McWilliams, the AP reports...."   etonline.com
