Quote: "The threat of Hurricane Gustav is causing the broadcast community to rethink the planned coverage of the Republican National Convention, slated to take place September 1-4 in Minneapolis-St. Paul, it is reported by Broadcasting & Cable.

Joanna Burgos, a spokesperson for the RNC, tells the trade magazine that the convention's organizers are watching the path of the hurricane and could delay the start of the convention depending on the impact of the storm on the U.S...."

in an oddly sad way, this is funny as hell..being that that "Focus on the Family" cult had prayed for it to rain on the Dems parade yet, hee hee hee, it's gonna rain on the Reps parade...I guess that's what you get when you pray for trouble for others...

But let us just hope that New Orleans is safe and that the officials involved, from City up to Federal, act properly this time.

Thats some media spin, McCain himself said he wouldn't do it the Hurricane was to hit.

He did the same thing in 2000, so not its not broadcast choice.

Really? Is that all you brilliant people can do is come on here and bash McCain b/c the RNC might be postponed due to a potential natural catastrophe? I'm no fan of McCain (though I like Palin so far), but what does that even mean, "...that's a sign, McCain?" A sign of what? That a hurricane is hitting a city over a thousand miles away from the RNC and that out of respect to the families in the disaster area, they choose not to hold a celebration? You saying that is about like certain "Christian" leaders saying that the natural disasters are punishment for people being gay. It's a sign!

On a side not, can someone PLEASE give me some specifics on the plans that Obama is proposing that impresses them to vote for the man? Just curious...
