According to Blabbermouth, fans on the continent got hold of the new album and posted pictures of the artwork, which is available to see on the website.
Despite the leak, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich said he wasn't too concerned about losing sales. "Listen, we're ten days from release," he told US radio station Live 105.
"I mean, from here, we're golden," he added. "If this thing leaks all over the world today or tomorrow, happy days. Happy days. Trust me. Ten days out and it hasn't quote-unquote fallen off the truck yet? Everybody's happy. It's 2008 and it's part of how it is these days, so it's fine. We're happy."

I heard a song of theirs on the radio in Vegas and was surprised. Did they start writing their own music again?

Why Lars isn't throwing a temper tantrum and suing everyone is beyond me, but at least it seems he is trying to make amends for messing things up as bad as they did!!
But it did leak and I got it! Listening to it now!
