"This election is about issues, and that's what's going to matter to people at the end of the day," she told reporters who asked her about the Alaska governor at a rally for a Democratic congressional candidate at Wagner College...." yahoo.com
Yeah - because someone who's got 30+ years of substantial experience, who's fostered genuine change on the world stage is going to be crushed by some snide remark from a complete n00b whose minimal experience is riddled with flip-flopping (bridge to nowhere) and corruption (supporter of Ted Stevens, improper use of power, etc.)?
Don't make me laugh. Hillary was shackled by her handlers during her campaign in the same way Gore was. Now that she's not running for President, I fear for Palin if Clinton takes the kid gloves off.

I also don't get why people are gung-ho about Palin. Because she read a speech written by a Bush speechwriter (before she was even chosen as the VP candidate)? Because she delivered a couple snide remarks with the appropriate venom?
Guess what - there are hundreds of thousands of people who can also read off a teleprompter just as well if not better. And frankly, they have about as much qualification to be Vice President as well.
I wish - just for a second - that people would actually give a s**t about the substance, and not be completely caught up in the presentation. I wish people would think about the potential ramifications of a Palin Presidency, because McCain, as a 74 year old cancer survivor who's prone to recurrences of skin cancer, stands a pretty damn good chance of kicking the bucket while in office.
