Quote: "The White House rivals maneuvered to claim the leadership role in resolving the economic turmoil that has overshadowed their campaign six weeks before Election Day. Obama said he would proceed with his debate preparations while consulting with bailout negotiators and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. McCain said he would stop all advertising, fundraising and other campaign events to return to Washington and work for a bipartisan solution.

"It's my belief that this is exactly the time when the American people need to..."

I watched that press conference and all I heard was uh,uh,uh,and,and,um,well.well.

Ok well, Dodd said yesterday if McCain dosen't vote, the others republicans said they won't vote.

This is true as it was also posted on CNN.

Now today he says they don't need McCain, meanwhile Obama isn't even sure if he will show up.

As far as the debate goes, I really hope it goes off as planned Friday, but this situation is requires immediate attention, by all acounts they are saying if this is not solved, it will shut down the flow of money, will shut down loans, and credit etc.

Whether or not McCain did this as a political move I could care less, the fact is this situation is grave and it needs to be resolved before Monday, we don't need the market getting down to 900 or 800 or worse by Monday.

I hope this all thing can be fixed before the debate, but I also understand when you really concentrate hard on something, that it takes away from preparing for a debate, I was on debate team btw...lol

all of it is important. the economy is in a hella mess and McCain or Obama can't fix it right now.
and if the debate isn't that important, why have one in the first place. it's just questions right?

I said it once, I'll say it again. Hey yo, fuck the debate. Shore up the economy! You can reschedule the damn debate. You still got a job. You're just interviewing for the new one. Are you kidding me?

Go figure. All obama cares about is publicity. Stunt here....stunt there. Love how he had to throw in the president needs to be able to handle more than one thing at a time. The jabs are getting old. At least someone cares enough to put off the presidential race to help fix the most important thing to us....our economy!

How do we know this $700 Billion (that's seven hundred thousand million) is not just another rip-off of the American taxpayer? Going into IRAQ was SO important and had to happen right away. Ring any bells ? I think the "administration" is made up of colossal liars and con-men who are doing the biggest con ever on the American people. That's US folks. We need to stop being good serfs and start speaking up and throwing out the liars, cheats and crooks.
