"The sighting: We can't have one of these Alienware curved monitors until the second half of this year, but until then, we've been abducted by its four nearly seamless and sharp screens of DLP goodness. Lit by LEDs, this 2880x900 monster is well over three feet wide and is said to have an other-worldly .02ms response time, great for gaming. The Soylent Green: You can see the seams between this monitor's four segments, but the Alienware humanoids tell us that flaw will be gone by the time this craft lands on......"

"OMG, I can hear the fanboys battling already. Here's a video from last night's CES 2008 keynote, Bill Gates' last for the foreseeable future. And I know its scripted, edited and contrived, but I'm sold: The man is a cool geek. He's not cool in a fonzie/Jobs kind of way in this video. "Dr. Dre, the Chronic King, is making his first foray into consumer electronics, releasing a pair of headphones with none other than Monster. The $400 headphones will indeed feature "rich deep bass-a Dr. Dre trademark." Here's what the Doctor himself has to say:"When I'm making a track I'm trying to capture the sound that makes me go 'now THAT's the shit! And I want that reaction from everybody who hears it. I spend a lot of time in the studio listening to my music through headphones...with Beats, people are......"

how could you NOT love CES when it brings products such as these into our universe?? Dr. Dre. More Bass. MORE BASS. and i quote "now THAT'S the shit!" that's Dr. Dre's wish...we all listen and say "now THAT'S the shit!". Hmmm...I don't think I say that. EVER. about anything. Maybe it's time to add that one to my vast vocabulary for a day and see if it adds value to my life. now that is the shit. (did i get that right? it just doesn't sound cool enough coming from me). sigh.
